2020 Wrap Up
or, A Dumpster Fire's Tale
In this episode we take a look back on some of the biggest news stories of 2020.
The Unicorns are doing that thing that people do when a year comes to an end and they relive the whole year over again…but with way more saltiness. Let’s be honest, this year has been a dumpster fire but for all the trauma it has caused us, there have been some slivers of sunshine. This episode we will be discussing the highs, the lows, the strange, and the remarkable events that made 2020 a watershed year. This episode we’ll be reminiscing about (not in same order as the show): · Covid (freakin’) 19 o Toilet paper shortages o Life pretty much cancelled o An American wake-up call · The resurgence of Black Lives Matter · Mother nature was MAD o Locust in Africa o Murder hornets o Fires in Australia, California, Washington… o Celibate snakes laying eggs o Fire tornados o Reverse waterfalls o Gay and lesbian penguins battle over eggs · Celebrities deaths · Space (somehow) got a little more mysterious o A star disappeared o The government released information about UFO’s o The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction · The political history o Trump’s Impeachment o The 2020 elections o o First women and first WOC Vice President Elect o AOC playing among “the people” on Twitch o The passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg o Is Kim Jong- Un alive? o Brexit, finally o The Royal Family split -Meghan and Harry leave the royal family · Honorable mentions o Biracial Unicorns hit 100 total episodes o W.A.P. (if you know, you know) o Macaulay Culkin turns 40…40!! The Unicorns packed a great deal into this episode, but we can’t leave without a finally 2020 Happy Place hint Tejano music and zoo animals on Instagram?? Now that’s how you end a year!! We appreciate all the support, suggestions, and encouragement we have received this year. We look forward to creating new content and cultivating more space for BIPOC/ Mixed race Unicorns to be themselves. Be safe out there see you in 2021.
