In this episode we take a look at the hot topic Critical Race Theory and how it relates to schools.

This week our conversation focuses on the “hot topic” of critical race theory or CRT. It’s back to school season and it’s not just face mask and vaccines parents are divided about this year. Due to a recent surge of exposure in the media (particularly in the political realm) CRT has become less about what it ACTUALLY is and has taken on the form of a buzzword. With some states looking to (or already have) “ban” CRT from school curriculum we can’t help but wonder if people know exactly what they are “banning”. What is the the driving force behind the “War On Critical Race Theory”? In this episode you’ll hear us discuss:

The reactions of some parents towards CRT.
The misunderstandings and misconceptions about CRT.
Where did CRT come from?
Who is CRT for? What would that look like in the classroom?
What is the purpose of CRT?
What are some of the dangers if you don’t teach our children to think critically
